Hotel Villa Mercedes Palenque

We spent one night in December 2025 ( week before high season ) And was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our travels through the Yucatán. Lovely to be inside a forest and listen to the birds in the morning. Very refreshing. The staff were helpful (if you are able to speak Spanish, better) however, some of the staff were able to understand and communicate in English. The room which we stayed in was clean all over, hot water was working, and also the pressure was more than enough. They do have a restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only drawback was the cost of food and drink. For the amount paid, I was expecting higher quality. Location is great if you plan to visit the archaeological site. The meeting point is more or less a 15/20 mins walk or 5 mins taxi ride.

Very nice hotel in the rain forest. Great pools, great restaurant. The birds were nice to listen to. Staff was fantastic and immediately addressed our issues which were very minor. (TV remote didn't work and we needed additional towels). Very nice stay. Very close to the ruins.

Lovely resort hotel in a quiet area near Palenque. Lots of birds, flowering trees and peacefulness.

We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. The King room was large and comfortable and the pool--even on a cloudy day--was a good place to relax after touring. The bartender Josue was friendly and attentive. In fact, all of the staff were. We had Alfonso and Christian as servers in the restaurant. I included some photos of our dinner and breakfast there. The breakfast was buffet one day because there was a group inhouse and a la carte the second day. Both menus had savory and healthy options. Well located for touring the ruins and other eco sites nearby.

Beautiful hotel, great restaurant. The rooms were beautiful. The only problem was the pool bar had no drinks on hand, the bar person had to go get them from the restaurant and took almost half an hour each time!!! The walk to our room was very long too!

A beautiful hotel close to the Palenque ruins. We enjoyed our stay here, we got a room right in front of the little pond. You could hear the frogs and cows in the distance, it made it really romantic. The pool area was beautiful, and I loved the landscaping around the whole area. Check in and check out was easy. Would stay again.

The best location for a stay in Palenque. In the edges of the jungle, lots of wildlife around and a beautiful hotel

Hotel Villa Mercedes Palenque is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the Palenque ruins. The lush, jungle-like setting feels peaceful and immersive, yet the hotel is conveniently located close to the archaeological site. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the grounds are beautifully maintained with plenty of greenery. The pool area is relaxing after a day of exploring, and the staff is friendly and attentive. A great balance of comfort, nature, and proximity to the main attraction.
